Happy

I know my Lent challenge is a word AND picture a day… But today I have to break the rules… I can’t upload the picture I want to because it is of a child in my kindergarten class. If you ask me, I will for sure show you the picture and many of you have seen it already!

Something I learned recently about kids is that in order to thrive and succeed they need one significant relationship in their life. This little boy in my class and I have developed the coolest relationship over the past six months that I have been working with him. He comes from a very broken family and from the ways we interact with each other, from the things he says to me and the ways he clings to me, I know that for him, I am that significant person. He is so incredibly special to me! God has given this kid the sweetest heart (that I admire so much!) and the most unique and special personality. I love this kid so much and each day God uses him to teach me something new about Himself and this precious boy he has created. I am so grateful for this opportunity God has given me to love this child, and for all God has, and will, teach me through our little friendship.

“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.” Romans 12:8
