Wake up, oh people!
Your ears have heard the proclamations of a risen saviour.
Your eyes have glimpsed his work.
You have seen His healing.
Daily, You experience His saving grace.
On Sunday, your lips proclaim His praise.
You have encountered His blessings . . .
“Taste and see that The Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him!” Psalm 34:8
His love has covered you.
Yet, do you understand?
Wake up, oh people!
Stop looking at yourselves!
Throw off your garment of selfish ambition.
Take up your robe of righteousness and place it confidently on your shoulders.
At one time you were amongst those walking in the valley of death.
But, Your soul is no longer blackened with decay!
Jesus has washed over your brokenness and refreshed you, giving you life!
Embrace your true identity.
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Do you walk in this truth?
Do you live by this truth?
Do you understand it?
Wake up, oh people!
Allow your heart to understand the urgency of His intimate calling.
Your life will be transformed.
You will love as He loves.
You will forgive as He forgave.
You will be joyful beyond your circumstances – for He has called you higher.
Know that You will not do any of this perfectly, after all, you are human!
But strive towards Him.
Live a life in close relationship with your Heavenly Father.
This is your purpose.
This is a full life.
Have you heard the Gospel message?
Then you are privileged enough to be called.
Give your life to the man who gave His life for yours.
“Those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. This is how we know we are living in Him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.” 1 John 2:5-6
Do you see what kind of life you are called to?
Are you living this way?
Do you understand what He did for you?
Wake up, Oh people!
My heart is broken.
Broken because of the way I live my own life, and anguished through witnessing the lives of others.
God desires people to live in and by His truth, not just know it.
He wants our hearts to be full of understanding.
I desire my heart to be full.
I want your heart to be full.
I seek out Jesus, wanting to encounter His love.
In the same way, I want you to experience the lover of your soul.
My heart cries out!
Break my heart for what breaks yours, Jesus.
Let your truth be proclaimed and understood by all those who call themselves yours.
Let there be no deception.
“Seek The Lord, all who are humble, and follow His commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly.” Zephaniah 2:3
Wake up, oh people!
Wake up and take up your cross.
Follow.
